Dawg, not trying to be mean or anything, but it's best not to put sprites like these on dA.
The basic logic is that you're taking art someone else made without permission or free use rules backing you and recoloring/editing it. That's against dA's rules.
The best place for this is Photobucket, Imageshack, Tinypic, or something along those lines. <3
By the by (and I'm only saying this because my ex-spriter self is going nuts), try working past recolors. For someone like Mephiles, there's what we call splicing - taking parts from one sprite and putting them on another. For instance, on the first sprite, you could erase the arms and head. You could then take the arms and head from the farthest sprite to the right on the third row from the bottom and put them on that first sprite. You'd get a pose kind of similar to the PA in the upper right corner, now that I think about it.
