                            Alicornication
                   chapter 18:Restart of the war part 2:
                           Unexpected future

With a loud metal thud echoing through the halls Volt and Twilight were in a
tough match, each sword strike just echoing as they fought. Volt kept
laughing as he swings he sword at Twilight who kept either blocking it, or
avoiding it all together. When Twilight saw a chance she lit her horn up and
created a flare which lit the room up like there was a sun inside it. Volt
used his hood to cover and protect his eyes, he heard hoovesteps and quickly
used a spell, teleporting him and Twilight to another room. Twilight was
caught in mid-jump as the spell was casted and as such she fell face first
onto the floor.

"Ow!" Twilight cried, she quickly rolled over onto her back then jumped
upward onto her feet. This is when she noticed a throne right in front of
her, it didn't take long until she realized she was in Celestia's throne
room. She then heard a metal sling sound, reacting she jumped aside right as
Volt's sword stabbed into the floor where she was. "Nice try!" Twilight
said as she ready her sword and went to strike him, Volt just laughed as he
pulled his sword free and swung it towards Twilight blocking the charge
attack.

"You have such power inside you, why not let it free?" Volt asked keeping
his grip as Twilight tried to force his sword away.

"Because I can beat you without them, anger isn't the only way to let out
power!" Twilight then held her sword up high and rammed it down on Volt's
sword repeatedly.

The force of her strikes caused Volt to step backwards to keep his balance,
with an evil laugh he lit up his horn and gripped Twilight in mid swing of
another attack. "Hahahahahaha then show me your true power." With another
laugh Volt swung his head forward sending Twilight flying across the room,
as she hit the floor she bounced a few times before stopping.

She quickly reacted to her pain but it was short as she saw Volt charging
towards her. She quickly rolled over onto her feet and swung her sword
around just in time to strike's his. Quickly Twilight lit her horn up and
grabbed his sword, Volt felt this and tried to cancel it out but it was too
late as he was swung up by his sword and swung against the ground. Twilight
quickly teleported over him and placed her sword at his face, ready to
strike.

"Any last words?" She asked, Volt just answered by laughing again. Twilight
thought he was over laughing like a maniac. As she was about to strike him
down she felt a thug on her tail and before she knew it, was pulled backwards
and held upside down dropping her sword. Volt laughs some more as he stood
up and walked towards her.

"Hehehahaha a word of advice, when you aim to kill someone when you get the
upper hand, just kill them the 'any last words' just gives them time to turn
the tables." Volt explained to her which made her growl a little.

Volt saw Twilight's anger in her face which only made him smile, he lifted
his sword up with his magic and placed it at her neck. "As we agreed, if I
lived you'll die. Such a shame, Luna could've used you as a close
friend...but there will be others."

"Just end it, you'll end up destroying Equestria and Luna." Twilight stated.

"Why do you always see the worse? Hahaha you'll see in time, for even in
death you can be aware of things. Now my dear..." Volt moved his sword
backwards a little. "Say hi to my foolish brother for me."

Volt laughed as he swung his sword forward, just to have it shot out of his
grip. "What?!" Volt turned to where the shot came from to see five Mares
along with a small dragon, he growled a little.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" A blue mare yelled as he charged at him, Volt just
smiled and jumped backwards avoiding her. But because of this Twilight was
freed from his grip and she landed on all fours and quickly gripped her
sword.

Volt quickly did the same as the other mares and the dragon charged at him,
he tried his best to avoid their attacks and strike them but they all moved
to fast in numbers for him to aim at one, this giving them an advantage.
Volt swung his sword at an orange mare but was cut as a white mare kicked
him causing him to fall backwards, as he hit the ground a pink mare took his
sword away and threw it towards the dragon who threw it out of a nearby
window. Before he could react the blue mare along with a yellow mare
grabbed him and dragged him across the floor until finally throwing him
upward landing into the throne.

Twilight quickly teleported in front of him and swung her sword, Volt had
just enough time to summon another sword and blocked her attack, but
Twilight kept ramming her sword down on his forcing him to hold his sword
with his hooves instead of magic. Volt wondered where she had gotten this
new strength as he felt more power in her, it wasn't until he noticed the
other mares together and syncing something, then he knew. But his thoughts
was cut off as Twilight rammed her sword down so hard Volt's hoof his sword
was in was forced aside, Twilight swung her sword down one final cutting his
face and ramming it into his hoof forcing him to drop his sword.

Volt screamed in pain as he felt the cut across his face and the burning
pain in his hoof. Twilight summoned another shorter sword and placed on it
his face, touching the cut. "It's over!" Twilight yelled.

"Indeed it is...do it. Strike me down and named yourself a full, Alicorn-like
Mare." Volt told her.

Twilight was too much in killing him to think, but after taking a few
moments to breath she started too. "I'm not like you, I will strike you
down but not in anger non to prove anything. I'm going to strike you to
sav..." Before she could finish Twilight's sword was shot out of her grip,
she and the others quickly turned to see two golden armored Stallions with
solders entering through the windows. Twilight gasped as she turned around
yelling. "GO GO!"

The others nodded and started to run outside into the hallway, Twilight
quickly following. The golden guard that Shadow had named Grey walked up to
Volt, pulling the sword out of his hoof making him yell a little. As he saw
the others heading for the door he yelled. "Stop! Let them go."

"B-But my lord..." Grey started.

"They have a bigger role to play, instead secure this part of the castle."

Everyone nodded to his order, as the solders went to do so the other golden
guard joined Grey by Volt's side.

Just then Shadow and Screwball teleported right in front of Volt and before
Shadow could even know what was going on Grey came by to tackle Shadow on
the ground, Shadow flip Grey Over then got back on his feet to pull out a
gun. "Grey?" Said Shadow.

"Who is Grey?" Ask Grey.

"That's the nickname I gave you because I got one partner who is named
Blue…don't know where he is to be honest with you."

Grey gave Volt a look asking if he could murder Shadow, Volt shook his head
then turn to Shadow and said. "So glad we could meet again."

"You supposed to be frozen...but not frozen is weird, what do you want?"
Ask Shadow.

"I would like for you to choose Shadow, join me, and be my side, or stay
with Celestia."

"Wow." Shadow said with a chuckle. "That has got to be one of the worst
lines I had ever heard by you, what do you think my answer is going to be?"

"Perhaps I should explain myself a little better." Using his magic Volt
showed a portal, and on that portal was a flash back of Shadows past where
he was staring at Starlight with a gun pointed to her. "You had a choice
Shadow, be loyal to your country or to be loyal to her, you chose to pick
for your country so you killed her."

"What choice did I Had? She went to the other side and I had to take her
out!" Shadow shouted back.

"I can bring her back." Volt said with a smile.

"I don't believe in reincarnation."

"All right then, but I am giving you that choice again, look at what you
had fought for, and how much you had done Shadow. I am giving you a new
life Shadow, I am giving you something that is worth fighting for."

Shadow chuckled a little, "you are going to give me something worth fighting
for?" Shadow said with a laugh "I have been fighting for about...I don't
know how many years and after all of those times, after all of those battles,
after all of those ponies that I had killed you think I have been fighting
for nothing?" Shadow chuckled some more. "I know exactly what I am fighting
for Volt, I don't fight for the one who is in charge, I don't fight for
myself, I don't fight for vengeances, I fight to protect the helpless, and
I don't murder them."

Volt titled his head, he knew that it would not be easy to get Shadow to
join his side, Shadow is a great solider and he is very loyal to his friends
and he would do anything to protect them no matter the cost. Knowing this
Volt nodded and said. "All right Shadow, if that is what you believe in
then that is fine by me, I want this place to live in peace just like you
do but I am afraid that we have to different version of what peace is and
how to achieve it. Also your role in this story had run its course you
serve no more use to me, Grey, get rid of him."

Volt walk out of the room and before Shadow could do anything Screwball held
onto Shadow and Grey walk over to him. "I think I know how to work this
Shadow." Grey said as he grabs a hold of Shadow's gun, shadow did not try
to fight back, he just stood there and look at Grey dead in the eye as he
pulled the trigger, ending Shadow's life.

"Such a shame, this'll give Luna a further reason to kill me." Volt said.
"Lord? I thought you left why back so soon?" Grey asked. "Screwball, come
for it is time I kept my promise to you." "R-REALLY?! It's time too..."
Screwball started.

"To free Discord yes, now come, heheheahaha this war is going to change
today." Volt laughed a little.

Mainwhile close to the outpost Celestia followed by Blue were on their way
to the see the guards' leaders. Celestia had used a teleportation spell to
make the trip faster. As they were walking up to the outpost they noticed
some guards, stabbed and was covered in blood. This scene made a horrible
shiver go through Celestia, there was no way...their couldn't be...Volt had
found out this was the meeting place? Celestia had made sure no pony besides
those she trusted knew.

"Oh this is terrible...it's unsafe whoever did this might still be here."
Blue stated. "Agreed but what are some are still alive? We can't just leave
them." Celestia added.

"My princess understand your safety is greater in these matters, if you
want to make sure if any pony is still alive then let me..." Before Blue
could finish Celestia felt a present, some pony was inside. Alive but in so
much pain, she couldn't tell who it was but she needed to find them. "No,
I'll go...you go back and tell Shining Armor the worse had happen."

Blue at first shook his head no, but after seeing Celestia's eyes he slowly
nodded. Celestia kindly nodded back and lit her horn up. "Thank you." She
whispered as she teleported Blue back to the castle.

Celestia soon return her eyes to the outpost tower, she dreaded going in
now but needed to find that pony. Gaining some courage she entered, slowly
and making sure no one would sneak up on her. Within a few minutes she had
made her way into the room the guards' leaders would be waiting for her,
the sight she saw made her almost threw up. There were the guards' leaders,
but they were slaughtered like something with pure hatred attacked them,
Celestia had to turn away before she threw up. She take a few breaths to
calm down, after she did she turned back to see a door leading to a stairway
was open. That stairway lead to the very top of the outpost tower.

Taking more breaths Celestia made her way towards it and started to walk up
it, she felt the present she felt outside getting closer. She knew whoever
it was, was on top of the stairs. Celestia after a few minutes had finally
made her way to the very top, there she stopped in her tracks as she saw a
mare in a black robe staring out over the land. It didn't take long for
Celestia to see a familiar mane style flowing in the wind. "L-Luna..?!" She
blurted out loud.

Luna heard her and slowly turned towards her removing her hood. "T-Tia..?"

With a small tear from both the two of them ran towards each other and
hugged each other tighter than ever. "Oh Luna what are you doing here? I
thought..."

"It's OK Tia, I just...had something to do here but it didn't go well."

"I'll say..." Celestia hugged her sister like she was near death and never
wanted to let her go. "Did you see who did this?" Celesita asked.

Luna suddenly felt her happiness drain away at her question, she broke the
tight hug and walked backwards not looking at her sister. "S-Soft of..."

"Well who was it? A changeling? Was it Volt?" Celestia asked starting to
get mad but keeping it under control.

"No..." Luna gulped a little, she knew this moment would come sooner or
later. "It was...me."

Celestia's mouth dropped as she heard her sister, she repeating shook her
head saying. "No...no...this isn't like you...W-Why!?"

Luna didn't answer, she just couldn't find words to speak to her sister. "I
told you to stay out of this and you...you went to see Volt didn't you?!
Why luna...I told you..."

"I saw some of our guards along with Nights' heading towards his room,
knocking out any pony that got in their way. They were going to kill him."
Luna answered finally.

"That's all..? What did you do?" Celestia asked. "....I had such conflicted
but I decided to save him, he needed to face trail. They were bent on
killing him and I ordered them as their princess to stop, but they
refused...and...I had no choice but to kill them..." Luna answered her.

Celestia felt a few feelings going through her, none were good. "W-Why..?
You can't kill ponies just like that!" Celestia yelled. "When ponies
refuses to obey their princess you..."

"THEY KILLED PIP!" Luna yelled at her as loud as she could, but didn't
meant too. "Wha..?" Celestia was barely able to say anything, she was too
confused.

"Me and Pip tried to stop them, but then one of 'our' guards shot Pip...and
k-kill him...he was alive for a few moments b-but...I just lost it...I felt
so enraged I killed them all...realizing what I had done I...broke down..."

Celestia was almost in tears at hearing her sister, she couldn't imagine
going through such an ordeal. "L-Luna...I'm so..."

"It was then Volt told me it was alright...I...finally understand....I
understand why he started all of this, the pain of losing the one you loved
so much..." "L-Luna..."

"I, fell to his will...he promised me if I helped him then you'll be safe."
Luna explained. "You joined Volt...just to keep me safe? Luna you know he
can't..."

"But I couldn't lose you! I-I JUST CAN'T! You and Pip were my only friends,
family...I loved Pip so much and losing him...I just can't lose you like
him...so I followed Volt and came here, to kill the guards' leaders so this
war will end. I did all this...for you Tia..." Luna cried.

"Luna..." Celestia was crying herself as she was trying to think. "Y-You
shouldn't have done this...you betrayed your people..." "S-So?! I only care
about you!" Luna stated.

"I was afraid this'll happen that is why I asked you to stay out of this,
Volt thristed your mind into what his is like...and as you stand here...you
done the greatest betrayal a princess could do...now..."

"T-Tia...please don't..." "I must project my subjects from him, as you
stand here allied with him...your a rogue princess and as the law states
I...must take you in..."

"Tia, are you choosing the law...your subjects over your own sister..?" "You
know the answer Luna...this'll be the hardest thing I ever had to
do...unless you come without a fight..." Celestia explained.

"I...I can't...BELIEVE YOU!" Luna snapped. "Look at what I done! All for
YOU Tia! And you are saying because I did this to save you...you're going
to arrest me?"

"I have too! Luna, Volt is just playing you to take ove..." "Then why did he
name me ruler? He doesn't want to rule, he wants us..."

"Luna think! You can't trust him, he is just using Pip's death to use
yo..." "NO!" Luna screamed as loud as she could in her royal Canterlot
voice. "PLEASE Tia don't do this! If you do then I'll have...no choice...I
want to save you but I can't if you choose others over me!"

"I have a duty as a princess! Just like you! We made a vow to protect them!
And when a princess betrays that vow..." Luna just shed a few tears crying,
she couldn't believe her own sister, would choose her subjects over her own
sister. "You never cared for me..."

"Luna that's not tru..." "YES IT IS! You NEVER cared! When I refused to
lower the moon you didn't care why...you just tried to make me lower it,
when I refused you sent me to the moon. And now this? WHEN WILL YOU CHOOSE
YOUR OWN SISTER OVER YOUR SUBJECTS!? WHEN WILL YOU CARE ENOUGH!" Luna
screamed at her. "Go ahead and try! You never cared for me and you never
will!" Luna yelled as she summoned her two midnight blue blades and fused
them into one long blade.

"L-Luna what are you doing!!??" Celestia asked crying. "Try and arrest me!
TRY IT!" Luna screamed as she swung her blade firing a burst of lighting at
Celestia.

Celestia quickly jumped to her left just as the attack hit breaking through
the floor, leaving a huge hole that went through the tower. "Luna please!"
Celestia cried but it was wasted as she saw Luna teleporting in front of her.

Celestia quickly summoned a pure golden long blade with a white base and
used it to block Luna as she rammed her blade down. Celestia saw the pain
in Luna's eyes and hated the fact of what she had to do.

Blue told Shining Armor what happened and Shining Armor took his team with
him to round up the rest of the guards. As they ran, Blue and Shining Armor
notice a room with fresh blood that they had not seen before, so Blue quickly
took a peek inside to notice that it was Shadow lying on the ground with a
bullet wound in the heart. "Shadow!" Shouted Blue as he rushes over to his
friend, seeing Shadow dead on the ground like this was something that he
never thought he would see, there was no brushes on Shadow so he did not put
up a fight, did he knew the killer, did they got him from the behind?

The only one who could answer the question is Shadow and he is no longer
alive anymore, Shining Armor placed a hoof on Shadow's forehead in honor,
but before he could say any words a loud scream followed by fighting noises
cut him off. Quickly he ran towards the noises just to find his guards
either dead, or wounded so badly they couldn't stand. Another scream caught
his ears and he stared upward to a balcony. "CADANCE!?" He yelled, on the
balcony was indeed Cadance but with Volt's golden guards next to her,
holding a long blade on both sides of her neck.

"LET HER GO!" Shining armor demanded. "Lower your shield and we'll spare
your wife, otherwise she'll join Shadow in death." Grey replied.

"You...you killed Shadow?!" Shining Armor yelled at him. "Yes and unless you
want her to suffer the same fate LOWER your shield!" Grey yelled back.

"Shining Armor don't! If you do an amry of Changelings will..." Before
Cadance could finish the other golden guard pushed his sword against her
neck, not enough to hurt but enough to make her stop.

Shining Armor was conflicted, he knew as the captain of the royal guard he
can't lower his shield unless ordered too. But as his heart is saying, he
can't decide both are too important but yet he can't choose. "I...I..." He
barely spoke. He looked up to see into Cadance's eyes, he knew she didn't
want him too but...his thoughts were cut off as Grey placed his sword
against Cadance's neck making her scream a little. "OK! OK...I'll do it..."
Shining Armor shed a tear as he lit his horn up, knowing this'll be the
greatest and biggest mistake he'll ever make, he casted a spell shooting a
beam outside and striking his shield.

Within moments the shield started to crack, and soon busted into dust. As
it did so Changelings followed by more of Volt's solders appeared, entering
Canterlot. Shining Armor with tears in his eyes looked up to see Grey and
the other golden guard slowly walking away, leaving Cadance who flew down
hugging him. Meanwhile to this Volt along with Screwball were in the garden,
standing before Discord. Screwball hopped with joy as Volt lit his horn up
casting an old spell on him, Discord lit up and within a few seconds light
started to emit from him as cracks appeared. A few moments later the stone
around Discord started to break away as he started to move.

"AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhahahahahahaahahah!" Discord laughed as he flew
upward breaking free from his stone prison. "DADDY! You're alive!" Screwball
yelled in joy as she rushed up hugging Discord. "Ah Screwball! My little
abomination it's so good to see you untamed by order!" Discord smiled.

"Oh daddy I missed you so much! I caused chaos for you! And with the help
with my friend we freed you!" Screwball said happily. Discord hugged her  
tightly before noticing Volt, he was smiling also at their reunion.

"Who in chaos are you?" He asked. "I am Volt, ruler of Alicorns and Emperor."
Volt answered bowing. "Volt  Volt...The same Volt from those old stories
about that Alicorn war?" Discord asked. "The one and the same." Volt
answered smiling.

"Well I 'thank' you for freeing me, but don't expect me to help I have..."
"Oh that's the point, lord of Chaos." Volt bowed again, Discord smiled at
his comment. "I see there's an all-out war going on, OH the chaos!" Discord
laughed. "Hehehaha oh but this is FAR from over." Volt replied as he walked
to a statue of three Stallions in armor with evil looking eyes. "I read
about these in my childhood...but too think they were real..."

"Those old things? They been around forever." Discord laughed. "Yes, because
the very first war in history was ended by these, the Golems..." Volt closed
his eyes remembering the old tales and stories. "They were the greatest
warriors, but also the greatest mistake. After the great war that founded
Equestria's founders' founders, they were spread and hidden. Now after so
many years they were forgotten and when discovered, placed as statues but
they are still VERY much alive...just one spell on the main three and 'all'
of them will wake."

"And you know this spell?" Discord asked. "It's the same as the one that  
freed you, but it won't release anything from stone as they ARE stone. It'll
just wake them up...lucky as it is these are the main three. Now, NOTHING
can stop me." Volt lit his horn up smiling.

Meanwhile to this Celestia was defending herself from Luna, Celestia didn't
want to fight back but Luna was too enraged to listen to reason. "Luna
PLEASE stop I beg you!" She cried. "WHY NOT GET TWILIGHT TO STOP ME!? YOU
CARE MORE FOR HER THEN ME!" Luna yelled in her royal voice.

Luna swung her sword backwards and then forward, Celestia in defence and a
little anger she summoned a dust of wind that sent Luna backwards until
finally tipping over the edge of the roof. "LUNA?!" Celestia cried running
towards the edge to see if her sister was alright. When she looked over a
hoof grabbed her by her necklace and pulled her over, in shock Celestia
quickly took flight and stopped herself, just to have Luna teleport in
front of her and grabbed her. "L-LUNA..." Before she could finish Luna
rammed her against the tower so hard it left an imprint.

Celestia felt extreme pain in her back, she let out a loud cry in pain. Luna
kept shedding tears after tears. "See at what you made me into!" She cried
as she pulled her sister from the tower wall and threw her down towards the
ground. Meanwhile in Canterlot the royal guards were making progress holding
back the invaders even the ones that were entering battle after the shield
fell, they started to cheer as they were pushing them back. But a
teleportation sound changed that, the guards turned backwards to see pure
white stallions in a white version of their armor, with dark greyest eyes,
they didn't even have perpils just the place their eyes should be was just
darken.

As one guard walked up to them the statue looking Stallions quickly attacked
them. Meanwhile Luna was getting the upper hand as she was beating Celestia,
who wasn't even fighting back. "FIGHT BACK! Come on Tia FIGHT ME!" She
cried. Celestia shook her head no as she just took Luna's attacks. Back with
the guards, these new enemies were unlike anything they ever seen before. A
whole group firing a attack at just one, barely scratched it. "What in the
name of Celestia are these monsters!?" A guard yelled. Over at the other
end of Canterlot Twilight and her friends somehow, went in circles and were
back outside the throne room.

"How the hay did we end up back here?" Applejack asked. "Doesn't matter keep
moving." Twilight answered. They nodded and started to run past the door
into the room, when Twilight saw a light coming from inside. She peered in
to see a mare in a familiar cape and hat over a body which looked like
Shadow. "Trixie!?" Twilight blurted out as she rammed the door open, as the
others came back to her side they all saw Shadow laying on the floor. Before
they could say anything the Mare turned around smiling at them.

"Hello Sparkle, you're a little too late but don't worry I healed your
little friend." Trixie mocked. "What did yoiu do!?" Twilight yelled. "Ask
him yourself, 'I' on the other hand have a Alicorn to meet." With a laugh
Trixie moved her cape revealing what looked like wings, before they could
react the wings open up and Trixie shot outside a nearby window.

"S-She's a...ALICORN!?" Twilight asked in completely shock, she then heard
a groan and remembered Shadow was there. They all quickly ran up to Shadow,
happy to see he's still breathing. Meanwhile Luna and Celestia's fight had
lead all the way to a rapid river, Celestia was badly beaten up but she
would not fight back, this making Luna even more enraged. "FIGHT!" She
screamed rammeing Celestia's head face first into the ground. "Fight me..!
This is just proving that you care so less you won't even waste fighting
back..." Luna cried.

"L-Luna.." Celestia said through her pain. "I 'do' care that's why I'm not
fighting..." "LIES! ALL LIES!" Luna screamed ramming a hoof onto her back
then grabbing and forcing Celestia to stand, Luna lit her horn up and fired
a beam at the river alighting it with electricity. "FIGHT ME! Or I'll throw
you into this and watch you fri!" Luna yelled.

Meanwhile back at the castle Volt was inside the throne room, watching the
all-out battle. Discord wasn't a big fan of war, but the feeling of chaos
he felt made it worth it. "Everything is going as planned, Twilight and her
friends were last seen leaving the castle along with Cadance." Grey
explained. "Good...tell all guards and solders to fall out, this castle is
now in the name of Lord Nightmare." With a nod Grey went off to relay the
new orders, leaving the other golden guard to be by Volt's side.

"Hm...I since lord Nightmare is in danger...ready my guards; we're heading
to the outpost."

Celestia could barely speak, her body was aching in complete and utter pain.
"N-No...I won't..." She barely spoke, Luna just got more enraged and started
to repeatedly slap her over and over. "Fight me fight me! Why won't you
show just the littlest of feelings..!" Luna cried as she started to slap
her  sister's face harder and harder, until finally pressing her face
against hers and just cried. Both sisters cried for what felt like hours,
until finally Celestia broke it by saying.

"I'm so...sorry for what happen to Pip but..." "I shouldn't let my feelings
blind me to what I want..." Luna finished her sentence. They both cried some
more, Luna finally starting to calm down until...her horn touched Celestia's
and she peered inside her mind. There only one thing was felt, a feeling for
someone Celestia cared for more than anyone else, a filly. A filly that
Celestia had knew since birth and was the main thought throughout all of
them. Luna quickly removed her horn as she stepped backwards. "THAT'S it!
That's why you...that's why you were going to arrest me!" Luna screamed.

"Please calm down..." "NO! You cared about a filly the same way I did for
Pip, out of everything that happen you didn't care for me...you cared about
a...a..." Luna couldn't speak she was just enraged again, Celestia had done
a good job sealing her feelings but this time, she let one slip which when
Luna felt it, was even more enraged. "A daughter...you my own sister...had a
DAUGHTER!? She's the reason why you were so...protective...you never wanted
to protect me you wanted to protect her!" "Luna that's not true I wanted to
protect both..."

"NO MORE LIES! NO MORE! After I kill you Celestia I'll track her down and
kill her too!" Luna screamed in pure anger. "L-Luna don't talk like that..."
Celesita cried. "There's a reason why...why I didn't tell you why I cared
about her more in some cases..." "No more...just NO more..." Luna cried.
"J-Just...DIE!" Luna screamed as she charged at Celestia, who tried to stop
her.

But Celestia was forced to grabbed Luna and swing her backwards dropping her
sword, Celestia picked her sword up just as Luna jumped upward summoning
another sword and charging towards Celestia with great speed that, by
mistake Celestia swung Luna's sword up in reaction and closed her eyes.
There was a thud sound and Celestia had feared the worse, but felt so pain,
she slowly open her eyes only to be greeted by a sight that'll, haunt her
for years to come. In her feared reaction to Luna charging at her so fast,
Celestia had caused her sword too stab Luna through her chest. "L-Luna...oh
dear please no!" Celestia cried out as she quickly pulled the sword out of
her sister's chest, Luna dropped her sword as she looked down to see her
chest bleeding, she kneed down gasping.

Celestia was in pure tears at what she had done, with tears purring down her
face Luna leaned forward reaching for her sister, but Celestia too much in
fear and sorrow to think clearly, stepped aside causing Luna to fall on the
ground in a way that caused her to roll down it, towards the river. Celestia
just watched in tears as Luna rolled towards the river until she rolled into
the river itself which was, still electrified. As soon as Luna's hooves
touched it her body reacted to it as her body was alit in electricity
running through her body, small bursts of electricity appeared on her body
as her eyes lit up blue like they were being electorate from the inside.

Her screams were just torture to Celestia's ears, Luna was barely able to
move but in utter pain she managed to turn around facing and reaching a hoof
out towards Celestia, begging for help. Celestia couldn't react, she froze.
She just stood there watching her sister being fried alive until she could
take it no more and turned. "T-TIA! P-Please...help me..." Luna cried out,
Celestia couldn't bear to see her sister like this but she open her eyes
and stared at her.

"I did love you! You're my sister! My heart and soul Luna! I care about my
daughter a great deal...I just wanted her to live a normal as she isn't a
Alicorn, and I just..." Celestia was cut off as Luna started to scream in
such pain Celestia had to cover her ears, she noticed as Luna was screaming
a faint blue light emitted from her mouth and eyes, until finally she fell
face first to the ground, with the electricity finally fading from the river
but her body was still emitting electricity. "I-I...I..." Before she could
finish Luna, felt everything drain from her as everything blacked out.

Celestia cried for what felt like hours until finally she decided to leave,
she stared at her sister's body feeling so much sorrow she just couldn't
stay any longer. After a few minutes after Celestia left, a carriage arrived
just outside the outpost and landed, a few moments later Volt followed by
guards came across Luna in her horrible state. "There she is, she's still
alive, quickly prepare an emergency transport." The guards nodded and went
to do so, while Volt walked towards Luna placing a hoof on her forehead.

Hours later Celestia was near Canterlot when a guard group came across her.
"Princess!" They all yelled as they ran towards her. "W-What are you doing  
here? You shoud be..." "Forgive me but there's no time, we...were driven
out of Canterlot when a statue like enemy appeared and everything we did
was useless." He explained. "W-WHAT!? N-No we can't..." "Please, Princess
Cadance is in Ponyville with the other survivors, awaiting you." The guard
told her, Celestia sighed and nodded. "Very well, take me to them please."

Meanwhile to this Volt and his guards had arrived back inside Canterlot,
they were taking Luna towards the hospital wing. About an hour later
Celestia with her guards had arrived in Ponyville, she was greeted by
anyone excited she was safe. While at the same time at Canterlot, some of
Volt's Alicorns were trying to heal Luna. Her wounds were so great she had
a little chance of surviving, but they knew of one way to save her, it'll
be a reminder of everything she had done up to this point but they needed
to save her.

Over at Ponyville, Celestia was in Twilight's home, having a meeting.
Everyone gasped and cried at what Celestia told them about what happen to
Luna, a noble Alicorn, her sister...falling to this war. She noticed
Twilight and all of her friends along with Spike was here, even Shadow was
but he was asleep. A faint noise caused her to stare upward, there she saw
Rose with the Professor walking down the stairs. "Finally some good news,
Pipsqueak is alive and well, he's upstairs sleeping."

Everyone sighed in relief to hear he was going to be OK, all but Celestia,
she remembered the main reason why Luna went mad is because she thought
Pipsqueak had died. Instead of feeling happy he's alive she just felt more
sadness and started to cry a little. So many hours later, Luna started to
regain her scenes. But all she could smell was smoke, and the feeling of
being leaned upward. As she finally was leaning completely upward like she
was standing, she open her eyes to see Volt, Screwball, Trixie, and even
Discord standing by her. "Lord Nightmare, can you hear me?" Volt asked,
Luna didn't answer at first, but after a few minutes she answered yes.

"W-Where are we..?" She asked. "In Canterlot, we won the battle and I named
it in your name." Volt answered. "What about them?" Luna asked, staring at
the other three. "Trixie and Screwball are to be your right and left hand
guards, while Discord helps me to spread 'chaos' over the world until
everything, is under your will." Volt answered, Luna sighed remembering her
sister, how she did nothing to help her but she also remembered her face,
her eyes. Just then she looked downward to see armor on her, armor that was
all too familiar to her.

Wishing she was wrong she looked over her body, then her mane and tail and
saw, she was right. "I'm...I'm in my Nightmare moon form..?" She asked
almost crying. "Your...body had such terrible injuries if you were left in
your normal form, you would've died...using your ability to transform into
this form at will, keeping you in it was the only way to save you." Volt
placed a hoof on her chest revealing a glowing diamond in her armor, Luna
was feeling enraged again.

"N-No...I must whether have died then to be..." Feeling more anger Volt
stepped backwards as Luna started to regain her powers, she ripped her
hooves free and fell on all fours, leaning over breathing heavily she
leaned her head upward and screamed so hard the room nearly shook in
reaction.

Back in Twilight's house Shadow open his eyes and the first words out of
his mouth was. "Grey can't shoot." Everyone in the house all went quiet and
turned towards Shadow. "Why am I still alive?" Shadow ask himself trying to
get up but Rose held him back down and the Professor strap Shadow down with
rope. "Make sure Shadow don't escape from this." Said The Professor.

"What's going on?" Ask Shadow. Rose answered that question. "There appears
to be a giant rock that is coming straight for us and we have no way to
defeat it and we are all going to die." "Does the giant rock have eyes?"
Ask Shadow, princes Celestia quickly answered that question. "Yes, have you
fought against those things before?" "No, but Rose...where is my rifle?"
"It's on a shelf, why?" Answered Rose.

"Grabbed my rifle, and check my bag I should have explosion bullets, put
one or a few in the rocks eye and it should blow his head off." Rainbow Dash
was not too sure. "No way, it can't be that easy can it? You just woke up
from a bullet wound Shadow." "Who said that it was going to be easy?" Shadow
said with a little bit of a laugh as he close his eyes to go back to
sleep again.

Rose sighed as she got Shadow's rifle and loaded the bullets, she took aim
but she wasn't as good as Shadow was. The giant rock creature was getting
closer, she aimed at it's right eye and pulled the trigger. The bullet shot
out so fast Rose fell backwards onto her bottom, but luckily her aim was
right on as the bullet struck the rock creature's right eye and exploded on
impact. The creature spun around as if in pain by the blast and within
seconds froze in midair. Everyone stared at it as it stayed in midair,
until suddenly it started to fall downwards and exploded.  

They all watched as it slowly disappeared into dust, at the same time they
noticed that the moon was rising. Which confused them all as if Celestia
wasn't raising it, then who was? Volt, Grey, and the others were all in
shock as they saw the explosion, they all knew that the only pony who could
had done that is dead, so is Shadow really dead? Grey was mad and shouted.  
"How is Shadow still alive!?"

Blue smirk and said. "When Shadow says he is going to get the job done, he
gets the job done." Grey look at him and had it so he went to stabbed Blue
in his gut with a sword, but Trixie blocked it. With Grey being busy, and  
the rest of the guards who were holding Shining Armor and Cadence captive,
Shining Armor felt a chance to break away and fight to save Blue's life.
Volt who notice where the impact came from told a team of six Changelings
to go into Twilight's house and confirm whoever was inside. "You can't live
forever Shadow." Volt told himself while at the same time smiling.

The six Changelings all nodded and went off and made it to Ponlyville, they
entered Twilght's house to see Rose standing there all alone holding the
rifle. With a grin Rose attack the six Changelings their forms not fooling
her. Discord who was next to Volt was laughing so hard that he was crying.
"Good job Volt, that rock thing lasted for a long time, how long did it take
you to create that?" "We will carry out as plan." Volt just answered. "To
me it seems like there is some sort of a shadow lurking in the area, you
might want to check that out Volt." Said Discord as he vanishes with
laughter. "Discord! We had a deal!" Volt yelled, but also laughed. A
strange voice could be heard from the distance.

"I thought you learn from the very beginning Volt, not to make the deal with
Discord." Said Shadow as he was standing with a sword. Volt snickered. "How
is it that you are still alive?" Volt laughed turning one eye to Trixie
then back to Shadow. "I died plenty of times but each time I go to Hell
their gates are always closed, you ask me if I want to join your side? I
joined the winning team Volt." "That little stunt that you pulled Shadow
was a nice trick but my plan is still in action, even if you can kill me, my
guards will still fight, the queen of the changelings will still fight,
this war does not end  with me dead Shadow."

"My fight against you ends tonight Volt, Celestia fought against Luna and
Shining Armor will fight the queen but this ends tonight for us." Volt smiled
and said. "Then I shall make this a quick death then." Over at  Twilight's
house Rose had killed all of the six Changelings and everyone was sitting
in the house wondering what to do next. "Is Shadow going to be all right?"
Ask Twilight. The Professor commented on Twilight question. "All of you
Unicorns healed Shadow to the best of your ability, I believe the pain will
be there but he should be fine to fight against Volt. Does anyone know how
Shadow is still alive? From what you told me he should be dead, but another
pony with magic powers healed him I believe."

Volt held Shadow still with his magic, Shadow couldn't move as Volt came
closer to Shadow and started to twist Shadow bones around. "You really think
you could defeat me Shadow? I have magic and all you have is a sword."With
a laugh Shadow said. "You really think after being in war I would come here
unprepared?" A blue beam came out of nowhere hitting Volt stunning him for
a few seconds making him release Shadow. "Now where was I?"

Twilight was trying to remember what she saw. "I remember seeing a pony
with a cape and a hat before the rest of us found Shadow, the pony was
staring down at Shadow then ran when we came by." Twilight explained, but
left out the part of them knowing who it was. Shadow and Volt match each
sword swing with one another, Volt tried many attacks against Shadow pushing
him back but Shadow was moving too fast so Volt threw about ten magic
swords at Shadow but he was able to leap over all of them and throw his
sword at Volt who only caught it with his magic and sent it back at Shadow
who also missed as well.

Spike found some old books and was in shock when he found an old picture of
Volt. "Guys I think you might want to see this!" When the rest of the herd
came over they were trying to see what Spike sees. "Volt had not been with
a girl after his daughter's death but when he met a black Pegasus that
looked like his wife that changed, the female did not like Volt at all and
almost took her own life when she found out that she was pregnant, but
never told him about it, guys I think Volt is Shadow's ancestor."

Shadow landed back on the ground with no weapon this time but Volt could
still make any weapons that he wants and so Volt made about five different
guns and fired them all at Shadow, Shadow was able to run out of the way
and hid behind a rock that was oddly placed in the room, when the bullets
stop firing Volt laugh some more and when Shadow took a peek around, Volt
made copies of himself.

"The black Pegasus fled to an unknown location never to be heard of again,
but they said that whoever tried to find her, a shadow would always surround
them all the time."

Volt's copies all tried to gang up on Shadow at the same time, Shadow
fought them off one by one, until finally he found the right Volt in which
case a kick in the face made the rest disappear, now that Volt was out in
the open Shadow tried to attack again but his attacks kept on being block.

Twilight and the rest was amazed, "That was interesting but who was that
pony?" Rainbow Dash almost knew who it was as she thought about it a little
bit longer. "it was Trixie!" "What? How does she even know Shadow?" Ask
Twilight, unsure how Rainbow missed her yelling her name before. "I don't  
know but how many other pony's do you know who wears a cape and a hat and
can use magic Twilight?" Twilight just facehooved.

Volt use his magic to send Shadow flying backwards, Shadow flip to safety
on the ground when a rifle got teleported to Shadow. With a rifle in his
hand Shadow fired a shot and it just barley miss Volt, a bullet moves to
fast for Volt to control so he tried controlling the gun instead but when
he did that Shadow let go of the rifle and charge at Volt.

Applejack couldn't believe that Trixie would do that. "Trixie has a good
side after all." Twilight quickly objected. "No, one good deed does not
make up for the rest of the things that she had done!" Rainbow Dash quickly
made a smart remark." Why so jumpy Twilight, do you love Shadow?" "WHAT!?"
Twilight quickly blushed. "No, I just don't believe that it was Trixie
that's all...where is Rose?" She asked seeing she was gone.

As Shadow was near Volt, Volt teleported the unicorn who had been helping
Shadow the whole time in front of him with a knife on her neck, Trixie. "I
must say Shadow, I am very impressed of how many ladies will fight for you."
"I am very impressed of how many ladies will kill for me as well." Volt
laughed as he suddenly lets Trixie go and handed her the knife.

"There's so much you don't know and probably never will, Trixie had helped
you because I told her too, you're alive because I allowed it." "Thought of
everything huh? Well there's one that thing you forgot." Shadow smirks.

With a smile a gun shot was heard but the bullet suddenly froze in midair
before Volt's head, from the distance you could see Rose looking surprised.
"Not a bad shot for a rookie." Said Shadow, Rose ignores the joke and said.
"I learn from the best."

"Tell me Volt, I thought bullets were too fast..." Before Shadow could
finish the bullet jumped backwards and shot into Rose's front right hoove
causing her to fall to where Shadow was. He turned to run towards her but
was stopped as he heard something landing, he turned to see Nightmare moon
standing by Volt. "Luna?" He asked, little surprised. She just gave Shadow
and Rose a cold stare, Shadow was getting a little worried as he didn't
expect to fight Luna, well she wasn't Luna anymore but his feelings were
still there. The same feelings when he made a promise to protect her, he
tried his hardest to ignore them but it was hard, but he manages to hide
those feelings.

"Hahahaha as Volt said, so much you don't know." Trixie mocked, Shadow
smiled a little. He blew her a kiss and said. "Thanks for saving me." "Eh,
just following orders until I can take my role as the greatest Unicorn,
even with wings." "Silence, since Volt gave you an order I'll let this past.
But enough, this fight is over today. Tell my unsister next time we meet in
battle one will die, and she BETTER fight." With that Nightmare moon lit
her horn up and in a flash Shadow, Rose, Blue, Shining Armor and Cadance
were teleported away.

"W-What did you do!?" Trixie yelled. "They were supposed to be..." Grey
started. "SILENCE!" Nightmare moon yelled. "I do what I want, I am done
following and taking orders. From now I'm in charge of what I do." She
stated walking off. "Lord Volt, I think she's..." "Enough Grey, just as
with Discord everything is going as I planned. Leave Twilight and all alone,
tomorrow everything will start anew, a new age."
