                     Chapter 1:First born Alicorn

The Alicorns are an rare race, ponies with both wings and magical horns. How
are Alicorns born some have asked, Alicorns are so rare even the best experts
can't say whether they are an race like any other, or just an one in an million
births. Some even wondered who was the very first Alicorn, some ponies had
tried to find out but all failed. All who tried to find the first Alicorn in
history all came to the same conclusion, all recorded history before Discord
took rule was lost.

So there's no way to find the first born Alicorn, in Equstria anyway. The only
living Alicorns are the princesses, Celestia and Luna. Who most experts says,
are the only Alicorns in history. But centuries ago there was more, but were
all lost. All lost, but one...

It's been an few months after Nightmare night had pasted, and princess Luna
was finally getting used the new world then the one she was used too. Thanks
to Twilight sparkle Luna had finally made some friends, in her spare time
Luna was looking up on the history she missed out on after being sealed away
for an thousand years. She hoped to get caught up and be able to make friends
on her own.

In one of her studies late at night one of Celestia's guards knocked on her
door.

"Miss Luna, are you there?" The guard asked knocking on the door.

"What is it? I'm busy." Luna asked not taking her eyes off of her book.

"Some ponies had found an old ruin, since Celestia is asleep we need you too
go look into it." The guard replied.

"Ugh...fine." Luna replied irritated, she was busy enough as it is, but now
she had to go look at some old ruins.

With an sigh she put her book up and walked to and open her door where the
guard was standing.

"Where are these ruins?" Luna asked, she wanted to go and get this over with
so she could get back to her history reading.

The guard bowed and told Luna to follow him, the ruins where quite far away
so they wasted no time in heading over to an farm that was far outside of
Canterlot. Luna used the carriage she used when she visited Pollyville on
Nightmare night, as her guards pulled the carriage though the air Luna stared
at the night sky. It was bright with the moonlight and the stars, Luna loved
the night sky and wished others could see how beautiful it was too, or at
least more often.

The wind blew softly and Luna could hear the sound of the animals that are
awake during the night, at least some creatures are up to see her night. With
in what felt like an two hour trip Luna's guards took the carriage towards
the ground, as the carriage landed Luna stepped out and looked over the sight
before her. The farm looked like an everyday farm, the windmill spun in the
wind, the farm animals are sound asleep and the farmer was sitting on his
front porch keeping an close eye on the guards.

As Luna was looking over the farm her eyes were drawn to an guard coming
towards her, as he got right beside her he bowed.

"My princess thank you for coming. The ruins the farmer found is in up in that
hill." The guard pointed towards an whether small hill, will it wasn't that
small but from where they stood it looked small.

"Very well, why must I be here to look at some old ruins?" Luna asked looking
at the hill noticing workers digging.

"I think you should just go and see for yourself." The guard replied walking
off.

Luna sighed and started to walk towards the hill, the sooner she got there the
sooner she could leave. With in ten minutes she arrived at the hill noticing
the workers are still digging. Luna looked over them and the guards that where
all over the hill. What could these ruins have that so many guards are needed
Luna wonddred.

She walked towards an guard in an different armor then the rest, as she walked
everyone bowed their heads to her. The guard noticed Luna and turned to bow
to her.

"My princess sorry we asked you to come at such short noticed, but these ruins
are..."

"I have no time for details, can you just show me them?" Luna interrupted.

The guard looked at Luna an little irritated, but nodded his head. "Very
well, follow me." The guard turned around and took Luna around the hill.

As they got haft way around the hill they came to an old door, it looked very
old. Luna remembered the stones it was made of was used before she and Celestia
became princesses, it was older then Discord himseft.

"This is the entrance? It looks like it's made from the same stone used for
the castle centuries ago." Luna looked at the stone door trying to remember
the name of the stones.

"We can't open it, but it looks like the door the elements are sealed in."
The guard said breaking Luna's train of thought.

Luna looked closer and saw it did look an awfully like the door the elements
are sealed in, it even had the small hole where an Unicorn horn could fit in.
But wait, only Alicorns have horns that could open these doors. Luna looked
at her horn, the door at the castle can only be open by Celestia, so could
this door only be open by another Alicorn?

As Luna thought on she remembered reading about these doors, they are rare to
have ones that can be open by just anyone, but it was possible once. Luna
wondered if she could open this door, without asking and not thinking Luna
lit her horn up and put it in the hole in the door. With in seconds the door
lit up an light blue and Luna removed her horn as symbols appeared on the
door.

Everyone stopped what they were doing as the door lit up and slowly opening.
Dust came out as it moved and almost fell apart an few times, Luna was looking
into the darkness the door was revealing. Soon the door had open all the way
and every guard and worker came to see what the light and noise was about.

"Y-You open it?" The guard asked in shock.

Luna didn't reply, she was deep in thought. She was surprised she was able to
open the door, judging how old and broken down it looked.

Luna wondered what was inside, so she started to head inside, the guards
following her. It was pitch black inside, there was no light to guide them.
It was so dark they couldn't even see their own hooves.

"It's too dark my princess, we should wait until morning." An guard said as
the others agreed.

Luna didn't want to wait until morning, so she used her horn to light up the
dark room. It wasn't an lot, but it at least made it easier to see. With the
new light Luna could make out an figure in the center of the room, as she tried
to look close an guard put his hoof on the wall seeing if there were anything
to lit the room up further, as he was feeling around his hoof pushed down
something.

As he realized he had pushed something lights on the wall shot on blinding
most of the guards. Luna was blinded too and used her wings to cover her eyes.

"AH!? What happen?!" Luna asked her eyes hurting from the sudden light.

As the light dyed down Luna open her eyes to an now haft lit room, the walls
having light blue line markings lighting up. Her eyes followed the lines as
the light looked like water running down them, as her eyes followed the light
which was moving towards the center of the room she remembering the figure
she saw before. Her eyes shot towards the center to what looked like an
throne.

Her eyes blinked as she stared at the throne, the guards were too busy looking
at markings that where all over the room. Luna walked towards the throne noticing
someone was in it. As she got closer she saw the throne and figure was made of
pure stone.

"An...statute?" Luna asked getting the guards' attention.

They all awed at how well the statute was crafted, it was of an pony wearing
an robe with it's hood covering it's face. Luna walked closer putting an hoof
on it's right leg which was resting on the throne's arm rests. As she looked
over the statute she wondered who it was, as she looked over it she saw an
small opening in it, just like the stone door.

"Hm...this looks like the opening on the door I opened." Luna said to herself.

Thinking it would open something else she lit her horn up and stuck it in the
opening. As she did an guard noticed the line the blue light was following
were going into the statute, before he could say anything the opening Luna
put her horn in lit up the same shade of blue. She removed her horn and
waited, waited to see what would happen.

Mintues went by but nothing happen, everyone in the room looked at the statute
as the lights all still flowing into it. One of the guards open his mouth to
say something but he was cut off as the ground started to shake. Everyone
panicked and started to run out, but Luna was still staring at the statute like
she was in an trace. An guard told her to leave the room but Luna didn't listen,
but her trace was broken as eyes on the statute lit up, in shock and realizing
the room was shaking Luna forgot the statute and ran towards the door.

"Come on princess before this place falls apart!" An guard cried out to Luna.

When Luna got to the door she looked at the statute which was starteding to
crack, with light blue lights coming from them. Luna saw that the statute was
reacting to the lights flowing into it.

"Princess hurry!" An guard yell breaking Luna out of her trace of the scene.

Before Luna to react an explousion erupted from the room throwing Luna outside
into the air. As she hit the ground she rolled until she ramed into an nearby
tree, before she could react to her pain the hill exploded like an bomb went
off sending the guards and workers flying. The explosion was so big ponies in
the nearby towns were awoken by it.

Even Celestia was awoken, she jumped right awake at the sound of it and ran
towards her window seeing the explosion. She gasped at the sight and quickly
ran outside to head towards it. Luna was in pain by her little airborn fall,
as she started to use an healing spell she looked towards to the hill, it was
covered with smoke. She could hear the cries of ponies all around her, either
in pain or helping the others.

After Luna had healed herself she tried to stand up, but stopped as she heard
footsteps. She looked towards the hill again and saw an shadow walking out of
it. As she watched it came out of the smoke she gasped in shock, there walking
out of the smoke was an pony about Celestia's size, wearing an black robe with
it's hood up. Luna was shock as it looked just like the statute.

As the figure walked his wings open up as to clear the smoke still around him.
Luna could hear the talk of the ponies as they saw the figure, which looked
over them and the now destroyed hill.

"Hello Alicorn. It is good to see that our race is still alive." The figure
spoke.

Luna blinked an couple times trying to progess what she just heard.
"Our...race?" Luna asked in an barely hearable tune.

"Yes, our race was in an terrible war that almost destroyed us." The figure
replied holding out an hoof to help Luna up.

Luna was still trying to progess this, our race was in an war? That almost
destroyed us? Luna was confused, if there was an war why wasn't there any
records of it? Her train of thought was cut off as she noticed the figure
held out an hoof, Luna blinked not knowing if she should trust him. She looked
at his face which showed no sign of evil, but looks can hide an lot.

"Luna!" An voice cried out.

Luna looked to her left and saw her sister quickly running towards her.

"Oh my dear sister are you all right?!" Celestia asked as she gave Luna an
big hug.

"I heard then saw an big explosion, what happ..." Celestia stopped and stared
at the robed figure who she didn't notice until just now.

"Ah another Alicorn, it's wonderful to see our race are still kicking around,
I suppose your wondering what just happen." The figure turned his eyes to
the hill still covered with smoke, then back at the princesses.

"I was imprison as an statute for, well by the looks of it. Quite some time."
The figure started to look over the area he was standing in, seeing all the
ponies and guards staring at him.

"Heh, well I see the war wasn't lost if ponies are still alive." The figure
said, Luna noticed that his tune was, almost irritated.

"Who are you and what war?" Celestia asked causing Luna to lose what she was
thinking about.

The figure stared at Celestia looking confused, then happy almost that she
didn't know about the war.

"I'll explain everything, but being encased in stone for so long, well it
takes time to get used after being freed. Which I own my thanks to you, Luna."
The figure bowed his head.

"H-How do you..." Luna started.

"Only an Alicorn with great power could have freed me. Now, are there more
Alicorns around? I must know if our raced trully won." The figure asked
looking at the ponies around.

"Me and my sister are the only Alicorns in Equestria." Celestia replied.

"Ah, I see...Too bad. Our war wasn't an complete lost. Not if you two are
here, there is hope for our race yet." The figure replied, almost showing
his feelings.

"Your an Alicorn?" Cesletia asked with an confused and curious expression.

The figure laughed an little, then lowed his head and removed his hood, revealing
an horn. Celestia and Luna almosted gasped, they thought they were the only
Alicorns still alive.

"I, am the ruler of an empire years ago. I fought to save the Alicorns, you
two being here shows that my efforts were not for nothing, and that our race
are not lost." The figure explained.

"How can we trust you?" Luna asked, unsure if this Alicorn should be trusted.

"I understand if you don't trust me, but I promise I won't hurt 'you'. My
name is Night." The figure bowed his head again.

Celestia and Luna looked at eachother, then back at Night. "Um, if you are
what you say you are, why aren't there any records of this 'war'?" Celestia
asked.

"Maybe they were destroyed or no one wanted to remember, trust me...it was THE
biggest war Equestria had, at least that's what the people called it. Poor
souls, they didn't deserved to be apart of it." Night explained still
bowing.

"Equestria never had an war, has it sister?" Luna asked Celestia.

Before Celestia could answer Night stood up and put his hood back up.

"I'll explain everything, but...I am weak from my stone encasement. May I ask
that I find an place to rest? I need to catch up on this world." Night asked.

An few hours later Night was in the throne room of the castle, with the
prinesses and the guards keeping an close eye on him. Night looked over the
room and the guards, they were different then the ones from his time.

"Heh, not to my liking much but, it'll do." Night said finishing looking
and turned his attention to the princesses.

"It'll do what?" Celestia asked, feeling uneasy as Night looks at them.

"I am an emperor, I want to regain my rights but your the princesses, I can't
force it from you. Otherwise, I wouldn't make an great ruler would I?" Night
giggled.

"You expect to be emperor again? But..."

"My dear Luna, I 'am' still an emperor. But, my empire is over with. Now it's
yours but as I am standing here before you, hehehe...there's an problem, my
rights can't be taken unless I die, or if you die but no, do you see my
point?" Night asked almost smiling.

"W-Well..." Celestia started but stopped to think.

"Ha, don't worry I don't plan on taking your kingdom over. But, maybe we
could make an deal?" Night giggled once more, but this one made the guards
uneasy.

"An...deal?" Luna asked back.

"Yes, as I was turned to stone my people were too. If you could free them I'll
be most greatful, and we'll leave to find an new land and start anew." Night
explained.

"You want us to find your people who maybe are trapped in stone, and free them?
Are you mad!? We maybe freeing ponies that'll..."

"Luna, please calm down." Celestia told Luna with an soft tune.

"B-But...Fine..." Luna replied not happy.

"If he is tricking us, our guards will step in. But we don't want an war, we'll
look up on him. But first, Night." Celestia turned her attention the robed
stallion.

"Tell us about this war, and why it started. And, if our research turns up
that your lying, you'll be..."

"Not very smart are you?" Night interrupted.

"What did you say?" Luna asked enraged an little.

"If I 'am' lying, your research won't do an thing as it'll be too late. Trust
me you don't wanna be so nice and forgiving, it costed me so many ponies.
Good soldiers, but at last...heheh, just act like what you are, an leader."
Night stated.

Celestia and Luna stared at each other, then back at Night. "Very well."
They both said.

Night laughed, like he was watching two kids. "Hahaha, you two remind me of
my apprentices, before they turned on me..." Night looked out of an nearby
window at the rising sun, deep in thought.

"Now, about the war." Night turned to an throne. "May I sit in that throne?"
Night asked in an friendly tune.

Celestia looked at Luna then back at Night. "S-Sure, but only for your story."
Celestia asked, her face showing Night that he better not be lying.

"Hehe thank you my princess." Night bowed, then walked towards the throne.

He turned and sat down, he sat like an human would front legs resting on the
arm rests.

"Now, this war was known as 'The Ailcorn War', as Ailcorns were the main
reason they fought, some Ailcorns were good, some were evil and trying to
overthrow the ruler emperor. I won't bore you about it all, but I will tell
you about the last hours of it. And...the fall of the Ailcorns."
This is chapter 1 of one of my new stories, Alicornication. It isn't much but it should get you started, the story will get longer and better and maybe darker as it goes, so hopefully this would be an good start.

It's really good for a first draft, but you need an editor to really make this shine! I recommend Deathsia/Krystal Burns or Pacce.
