A new Crusader

              My Little Pony friendship is magic
                        -New Crusader-

It was a nice sunny day in Apple acres, AppleJack is Apple bulkening like she
normaly does. Applebloom being bored was walking to her and her friend's club
house.

"Oh I'm so bored...Sweetie Belle is with her sister,and Scootaloo is
with Raindow Dash. We are suppose to meet at our club house soon, but I wanna
play now." Applebloom said with her head lowed.

As Applebloom was walking pass apple trees that were blowing in the wind, she
stopped as she heard a voice.

"What in tarnation? Signing? Maybe Sweetie Belle's here!" Applebloom started
to run faster towards where she heard the singing, but as she got closer it
wasn't a girl's voice.

As Applebloom got to a clearing she stopped and looked, as she looked to her
far left she saw an earth pony on a bench singing. The pony was very light blue and
a mane and tail the same shade of blue. But his mane and tail had white stripes
along them.

"Cutie Mark Crusaders.~ Hm hm hm.~ Never stop the journey.~" The strange pony
sang with his eyes closed and doing little tricks.

"Um, excuss me. That song..." Applebloom said startling the blue pony. "Whao!?"
The pony yelled startled and messing up a trick causing him to fall off the
bench

Applebloom quickly ran over to see if he was alright. "Are you OK? I didn't
mean to scare you." She said helping him up.

"Oh it's alright, wasn't your fault." The blue pony said getting back on
the bench. "I'm Speedy, and you are?"

"Applebloom, that song is the Cutie Mark Crusaders' theme song." "Oh that's
the name? A while ago when I was exploring here I heard somepony singing it.
I couldn't find her but I picked it up." Speedy explained.

"You must've heard Sweatie Belle, she made it up." Explained Applebloom.
"Sweatie belle huh? A Crusader right?" Speedy asked, Applebloom nodded.
"Hey, this is suppose to be a private part of the farm, how did you..?"

"I love to explore, and run very fast. I also found this old treehouse, but
the very next day it was good as new." Speedy said scratching his head.

"Treehouse..? You must mean the one I fixed up." Applebloom said. "Really?
Well you did a very good job then." Speedy said with a smile. "Thanks, so
um, why are you here still?" Applebloom asked.

"I've been here." He replied. Applebloom got a blank face for a few seconds
then asked. "Been here? What do you mea..." "Oh nothing hehe..." He interrupt
while looking down with a almost sad look. "So Applebloom, want me to leave or
what?" He asked to change the subject.

"Leave? Hm...no. Hey I got a idea! Why not let me introduce you to Sweatie Belle
and Scootaloo when they come over?" She asked. Speedy thought for a moment
then said with a smile. "Sure! Maybe we can become friends!"

"Maybe." Applebloom giggled.

Later when Scootaloo and Sweatie Belle came over. "Hi Applebloom! ..? Huh?
Hello there, who are you?" Sweatie Belle asked when she noticed Speedy.

"This is Speedy, we met after I followed a voice signing."
Applebloom said.

"Singing?" Scootaloo asked. "Yeah, and it was our theme song." Applebloom
told them. "Our theme song?" But how did he know it?" Scootaloo and Sweatie
Belle asked.

"He said he heard you singing it once Sweatie Belle, most likely when we first
got our club house. I think since he said he found it when it was a mess and
how the next day it was fixed." Applebloom told them.

Sweatie Belle and Scootaloo looked at each other a little confused, then Sweatie
Belle said. "So how we missed him?" "I don't know, he said he never left."
AppleBloom remembered him saying that.

"So he lives on your family's farm?" Scootaloo asked. "Well I didn't know it
was her family's farm, I was just exploring and found it." Speedy stated.

"Exploring?" Sweatie Belle asked him. "I love to explore, and run very fast.
Two of my fav talents." The three ponies looked confused, then Sweatie Belle said.
"Wait you have two talents?" "But I thought you get a cutie mark when you
discover your talent?" Said Applebloom.

"Yes, your "true" talent, can't have a cutie mark for two different things
now can you?" Speedy giggled.

"Well that's true." Said Scootaloo. "So I haven't explored in hours, and I know
of a place to explore too. You guys wanna come?" Speedy asked.

The three Crusaders looked at each other, then nodded. "Sweat, the more the...
Hey. Does this mean I'm a Crusader?" Speedy asked them. "Sure, why not?"
"Another Crusader and friend could help us find our cutie marks faster."
Sewatie Belle and Scootaloo said.

"Cool, anyways the place I wanna explore is..."

Later at where Speedy wants to explore.

"The Everfree Forest!?" The 3 ponies said. "B-But we're not suppose to go
in there." Said Sweatie Belle. "Why? Scary stories? I heard them, but a zebra
named Zecora lives there and visits. So it's safe enough." Speedy stated.

After a while of the Crusaders telling Speedy about the last time they
went there.

"Almost turned into stone? Well that does sound bad, but still if Zecora can
live there then we can explore. But you guys don't have too, I can go exploring
by myself."

"Well what if we find a better place to explore?" Asked Applebloom. "Hm...Nah!"
Speedy said as he sped off into the forest. "Speedy wait!" Applebloom yelled.

The three talked for a moment then decided to follow him. Speedy noticing said.
"You guys coming? You don't have too ya know." "Well we can't let our new
friend go by his self." Said Sweatie Belle.

Speedy had a strange look, like he had a feeling he never had before. Before
the ponies could notice and ask he said. "OK Crusaders, I heard there was a
castle here where the princesses used to live at, we're going to look for it."

They noded and the 4 of them ran off.

-A while later-

"Hm...we been out for a while, maybe we should go home?" Asked Sweatie Belle.
"Hm...maybe yo...we should." Speedy said trying to hide that little mistake.

"...Are you OK Speedy?" Asked Scootaloo, then right afterwards Applebloom asked.
"Yeah, you been avoiding any questions about your home and..." Applebloom
stopped when she saw Speedy staring at something, when she looked at where he was
staring at she and the others gasped.

In front of them was the castle Twilight and the others found the Elements
of Harmony at. "We found IT! YAY!" Speedy said happly jumping about. He
quickly run towards it followed by the others.

When they enterd the Elements of Harmony's champer, the place Twilight and friends
found them at, Speedy said.

"Wow...so this is the old castle?" "Old alright, so now can we go home?" Asked
Applebloom. "You can, but I wanna explore more." Speedy replied.

The three sighed, Speedy noticing said. "........Alright guys, we can go hom...
home..." Speedy could barely say home for some odd reason.

"....Hey Speedy? Why do you have trouble saying home?" Sweatie Belle asked.
"Do you have problems?" Asked Scootaloo. "N-No, I don't hav...I mean...No.
I don't have problems. I...Ugh..." Speedy tried saying something but can't
get it out.

The three looked at each other, Speedy saw them worring a little, then he
said. "I...don't have a h-hom...home..." The Crusaders looked confused.

Applebloom asked. "You don't have a home? You and your fami..." She stoped
as she noticed Speedy was uneasy hearing that word. "I...I'm homeless OK?
No home no family. I am all alone."

The three got a very sad looked, then got around to comfort him. "Your
homeless?" "With no love ones?" Why didn't you say so Speedy?" They said.

Speedy had trouble saying but finally said. "B-Becaue I didn't know how too,
when you been alone for a long time like me, your not used to friends."

They all huged him and said. "Well not anymore." "You have friends now."
"Maybe we can ask our sisters to find you a home."

Speedy's left ear lifted up at finding a home. "R-Really? That would be great.
B-But...Nevermind. We better get out of here, before your fam...familes starts
to worry."

So the 4 of them walked out of the caslted and the forest, moments after they
got out they were greeted by AppleJack and Twilight.

"There you guys are!" AppleJack said as she and Twilight ran up to them.
"Girls when are you going to stop going into that forest?" Twilight asked.

"S-Sorry, we didn't want our new friend going in alone." Sweatie Belle said.

AppleJack noticing Speedy said. "Don't you know not to go in there? And why did..."
"I told them they didn't have to follow me, but they did. First sign of
friendship I ever had." Speedy said almost teary eyed.

"Well that's mighty nice and all but everyone is looking for you girls."
AppleJack told them. "We're sorry sis, at least we came back sooner then..."
Applebloom was saying but was interrupted by Twilight saying.

"Hey, who are you little guy? I'm sure your parents are worried too." That made
Speedy looked down saddly. "Um Speedy doesn't hav...oops..." Scootaloo said.

Twilight getting a shocked look remembered and said. "Speedy? The princess
sent me a note a while ago saying that an orphan pony named Speedy went missing."

The other ponies gasped at that, then Applebloom said. "Your an orphan!? No
wonder you were so harden on hiding that you were homeless." "So, are
you gonna write to the princess saying you found him?" Scootaloo asked Twilight.

"Yes, I got to report back that he's been found. And mostly likely he'll have
to go back."

"NO!" Speedy yelled running up and hugging Twilight's right leg. "Please don't
make me go back! Every other filly made fun of me for not being a uincorn, and
for the only filly that was homeless was lonely...please don't make me go back..."
He begged her.

After a few seconds of thinking Applebloom said. "I got it! Why don't we find
someone who can adopt him here in ponyville?" The other two Crusaders agreed with her.

"W-Well..." Twilight said as she looked at Speedy, his eyes where about to water.

"Fine..." The 4 Crusaders jumped in happyness. "But wait, who will adopt a
filly?" Sweatie Belle asked. They all suggested a few ponies for a little
while, then Speedy asked. "Why not you Twilight..?" They all stared at him,
then AppleJack said.

"Yeah why not you Twi? He'll find no better home then with you." "W-Wait a second,
adopting is a lot of responsibility and..."Twilight looked at Speedy then at the others.
"Hm...why not let me stay for a while then decide?" Speedy asked her.

Twilight thought about it then replied. "I guess I could...I always wanted
a little brother." Speedy jumped up with joy saying.

"R-REALLY!?!? You'll...you'll really adopt me..? THANK YOU TWI...Sis." He said
while hugging her once more. The others awed at what they just heard.

Twilight was still unsure about adopting Speedy as a little brother but said.
"Well we better get you guys home, sure everypony is worried. They all nodded.
So AppleJack took them all home while Twilight was still thinking about Speedy.

After they got to Twilight's house she called for Spike. "Oh Spike, we um...we
have a guest." Moments later Spike came from upstairs and saw Speedy.

"Hi there, I'm Spike." "Speedy, nice to meet you Spike." Speedy smiled. "So
Twilight why did you bring him?" Spike asked.

"She's gonna adopt me as a brother!" Speedy happily said. "W-What!? Really
Twilight? Wait is he the one..?" "Yes. He's the one that the princess told
us about. And...I'm still unsure about this, not sure I can handle a brother."
Twilight said.

"Unsure? B-But you can still just let me stay?" Speedy told her. Twilight
with a sad look told him. "Well no, I'm afraid the only way for you to stay
is adopting, otherwise you have to go back so they can find you a real home."

Speedy was sadden, then Spike said. "Come on Twilight, you always wanted a
little brother. And can't you ask the princess to let him stay?" Twilight
thought for a few minutes then told Spike to take a letter. Spike happily
went and did so.

"Dear princess Celestia, I am happy to report that Speedy was found. But it
appears he doesn't want to go back to Canterlot. He wants to stay here with
his new friends, I know if nopony adopts him here he'll have to go back to
find a real home. So I kindly ask if he can stay here with me and Spike. If
he needs to be adopted first then...Then I'll happily adopt him as a little
brother. I know it takes a lot of  responsibility, as I am a little unsure
about it, but I would hate to see him to lose his new friends."

Twilight said as Spike wrote it down, then Spike sent it to princess Celestia.
"T-Thanks Twilight, even if I have to go back...at least I know you were willing
to help me to stay." Speedy said a little happier.

Twilight smiled a little, so did Spike but then he burp up a letter from the
princess.

"Wow that was fast, how does she replied so dang fast?" Speedy asked, Spike
just shrugged his shoulders. Twilight open the letter and began reading it.

"Twilight my most fateful student, I am trilled that you found Speedy, we
were all worried about him. I am also overjoyed he found friends, and even
tho he needs to return to Canterlot to find a home, well I think he already
has. I princess Celestia, hereby decree that Speedy can stay in his new home,
in Ponyville. And when she's ready to, Twilight Sparkle  can adopt him as a
brother by filling out these papers."

Just then papers popped out of the letter, and Spike began reading them.

"Adoption papers!" He said reading them. "Really!? So Twilight when you want
you can adopt me as a little brother. And...either way I'm...I get to stay!
YES!" Speedy said hopping around.

"I get to stay! With my new friends and fam...Well one out of two isn't bad."
Speedy said.

Just then he heard Spike sending another letter off. "Huh? You wrote her back?
Saying what?" Speedy asked them. "Those papers she sent me." Twilight replied.

"Papers? Wait...do you mean..?" "Yes, welcome to the family little brother."
Speedy jumped up with so much joy at that he almost hit the ceiling.

"OH THANK YOU THANK YOU! I...I finally have a, a family. What's this weird
feeling I'm having?" Speedy asked looking at his chest. "Love, I think." Said
Twilight.

"Love..? Second time feeling this today." Speedy said. "Oh? Really? Let me
guess you felt when you met Applebloom and her friends?" Twilight asked.

"Well actually it was when I first saw Appleblo...yes yes it was." Speedy
said blushing trying to hide that.

Spike noticing quickly said. "Hey we are like brothers now right? I mean I
knew Twilight since I was a baby."

"Hm...maybe, but I'll still call you bro. So anyways Twi...sis. What are we
gonna do first?" Speedy asked very happly.

"First you need to go to bed." She replied, after afterwards Speedy said.
"What!? Why?" "Because your just a filly and need your rest. And if I'm
gonna be a big sister I got to act like one. So off to bed, both of you."

"What? Why do I have to..." Spike said as he fell asleep. "Aww..." Twilight
said, she walked up and took Spike to his bed.

She then got another bed out, the one AppleJack and Rarity slept in at their
sleepover. "You can sleep here Speedy, Speedy?" As Twilight turned around she
saw Speedy asleep.

"Aww...Well guess your already asleep." Twilight picked Speedy up and layed
him in the bed, then covered him up.

"Well, having a little brother might be a good thing. And who knows, maybe
we can learn more about friendship from each other."

Twilight yawned, then got into her bed. "Nights guys." She whispered.
